"Pour It Out: Stop Panicking and Start Writing," with Elizabeth Sims
Elizabeth Sims comes to A Book For All Seasons for our third installment of our Writers' Workshop Series, POUR IT OUT: Stop Panicking and Start Writing. Elizabeth presents sure-fire tools to break the toughest logjam. Bring pen and paper and learn the Random Sentence Kick-Start, Spelunking the Sewer Within, and the Cross-Cultural Quarrel. Your ideas will take shape, you'll rediscover the fun of writing, and you'll never fear a blank page again! Elizabeth Sims, novelist and Writer's Digest contributor, will also share strategies for plotting, revising, and getting published. The Workshop includes lunch at Kristall's Restaurant and a copy of Elizabeth Sim's book, newly released in paperback, The Actress — all for only $25.00! Click here to sign up now!
As the holder of English Literature degrees from Michigan State University and Wayne State University, where she won the Tompkins Award for Graduate Fiction, and now a professionally published author, Elizabeth is living proof that studying literature can work out. She's the author of an innovative suspense series from St. Martin's Minotaur, beginning with THE ACTRESS (2008) and continuing with THE EXTRA (forthcoming in June 2009). In addition, she's the author of the Lambda Award-winning Lillian Byrd mysteries.
She's served on the editorial board of a literary magazine and has worked as a reporter, corporate trainer, bookseller, executive, and writing coach; she is also a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime. In addition, Elizabeth belongs to Mensa International, a fact she likes to mention when feeling insecure.
From 3:00 - 5:00PM Elizabeth Sims will be at ABFAS to sign her book The Actress.
